The best part of my Christmas....
(OK, would have been better if I could have
gotten Boone to look at the camera!)
If you read this, you’re it! Let me know your blog or email address so I can read your results!
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper--I wrap everything---I want the morning to last as long as it can!
2. Real Tree or Artificial? Artificial this year -- one of the best parts of our Christmas is (usually)going into the “woods” to cut down our tree. This year, we’re in an apartment with a toddler; 2 reasons to buy a small, fake tree to put on a table!
3. When do you put up the tree? Usually the Monday after Thanksgiving. This year we were really late.
4.When do you take the tree down? Soon after New Years. Since it’s always been real, it’s dried, and I’m ready to have my house back!
5. Do you like eggnog? Love it -- but just a taste or two each season.
6. Favorite gift received as a child? My parents made me and my sister a “real” kitchen. We played with it until it literally fell apart!
7. Hardest person to buy for? Depends. This year, Jordan.
8. Easiest person to buy for? Depends. This year, Boone.
9. Do you have a nativity scene? Yes; actually I have 8 different sets. I love them, but am stopping, since I really don’t have room to display all of them. This year, I only have 3 sets out.
10. Mail or e mail Christmas cards? Both. Someday, I will send the cute photo ones. Should have done it this year, since we had some great shots by Sasha!
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? An UGLY sweater from a “friend.”
12. Favorite Christmas movie? Muppet’s Christmas Carol. Hee hee!
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Usually pretty early, late summer. I like to get last minute deals, too, though.
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Only when I know the recipient will really, REALLY like it, or collects it.
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Candy bar pie, fudge, ham with funeral potatoes...
16. Lights on the tree? This year, white. Usually, mixed colors.
17. Favorite Christmas song? Amy Grant’s “Breath of Heaven,” and almost anyone’s “O Holy Night.”
18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Home, but family parties earlier.
19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? You betcha! "You know Dasher and Dancer..."
20. Angel on the tree top, or star? A star. Jordan and I bought it the first year we were married, and it was really cheap. We thought we’d replace it, but still haven’t. It has grown on us!
21. Open presents Christmas eve or morning? PJ's on Christmas Eve, everything else EARLY in the morning!
22. Most annoying thing about this time of year? Grinchy, Scroogy people!
23. Favorite ornament, theme, or color? I love home made ornaments, especially a set I got several years ago and anything my kids make me. I used to like the idea of elegant theme trees, but that just isn’t me! I like simple and sweet and homey.
24. Favorite traditional foods for Christmas? The works -- ham, funeral potatoes, salad, and rolls for the actual Christmas dinner. We always have seafood for Christmas Eve, then a Christmas breakfast casserole, and munch summer sausage, cheese, and crackers during the afternoon, before the big feast!
25. What do you want for Christmas this year? I would love to sell my house and buy one here in Texas. Since that doesn’t look likely, I am also happy about the new coat I picked out!

Hellooo! I loved this post! We drove by your house last night while out looking at Christmas lights in a huge storm. It was sad. We have been telling everyone remotely interested about it in hopes of getting it sold for you. We'll keep trying!
