OK, I have had an extended pitty party, but I am ready to repent and do better. Why the change of heart, you may ask? I have been reading the blog of a friend whose husband is literally fighting for his life right now. My complaints seem pretty petty, so I have come up with my own Top Ten List of the many many blessings I have, not necessarily in order. Drum Roll, please....
10. Health -- all of our little family are feeling frisky; and our extended family members are also doing well, as far as we know. If not, call us!
9. Good weather. I am not a fan of the windy, snowy, blustery day, unless it's an anomaly. Here in Texas, our days require a light jacket and maybe something a little heavier at night. Not bad!
8. Technology. Love love love being able to keep up with friends and family through telephone, email, blogs, etc!
7. OK, technically this one is also technology, but I am so grateful for it, I'm making it its own number. Flight benefits! It is comforting to know I can get back to Idaho or Utah if anyone there needs me; or, more likely, if I need them!
6. The church. Besides being true, it is a great lifeline here. If I haven't really made many friends yet, at least I have people to talk with once or twice a week. That will have to do for now.
5. Friends. I have missed my dinner club friends, book club friends, college friends, lunch friends, neighborhood friends, and those who don't fit any of these categories. Thank you for keeping in touch!
4. Family. When I was so lonely and homesick, my dad and siblings sent us a care package that made me laugh through my tears -- and it had calling cards! You guys are awesome!
3. Sweet baby boy Boone. Oh, he is heaven -- especially his snuggles. Even when he is bad, he makes me smile.
2. Darling Maaike-girl. She is growing into such a good girl. I am proud of her every day, and always excited to see her accomplishments.
1. My handsome, hard-working husband. He is the one who carries us all through the tough times and lets me cry on his shoulder. A lot. I am eternally grateful for him, and don't tell him often enough. He is fabulous.

Marylynn,
This is Lisa (Kindred) Davidson. I googled your name and found your blogspot. I was stunned to read that you are now living in Dallas! I have been living in Texas for three years. I live in Killeen which is about 170 miles west of Dallas. How did we both end up in Texas? I love it here! I find it funny and ironic that you living in Texas, too. Send me an email - clairebear38@msn.com. Too much to say in a blog. Your baby boy is adorable! So is Maaike! Small world, yet Texas is huge. I would love to catch up with you.
